I will be traveling to the Scottsdale, AZ area on Sunday and staying through Friday. If any Modeled Behavior readers are familiar with the area, I welcome suggestions on great food and interesting things to see and do. Also, if any readers live or will be in the area and would like to schedule a meetup, let me know in the comments and I will try and fit it into my schedule!
Thanks in advance!

If you don’t mind paying $10 for a burger plus extra for fries, Delux Burger makes really awesome gourmet ones: http://www.deluxburger.com/PDFS/Delux_CURBSIDE2GO_100110.PDF. I say this as someone who also enjoys a cheap In’N'Out burger as much as anything. There’s also a solid gelato shop in the same strip mall.

Huachinango is a cheap little hole in the wall Mexican place at the North-East corner of McKellips and 76th. Very authentic, no English on the menus and the only place I know that serves habenero salsa.

If you like the outdoors, try the Camelback Mountain trail:

Consider an afternoon visit to Taliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright’s winter home/school/studio: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taliesin_West So much of Scottsdale–all due respect–is a lesson in how not to build in the desert. Go admire someone who did it _right._
