That computer is programmed to design CPUs and is &#039;taught&#039; (machine learning, or just programmed knowledge) everything everyone currently knows about electronics and CPUs. It then designs a super efficient, powerful CPU accordingly. If we could get that ultimate computer to identify and solve problems in the world, we would see progress ad infinitum.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Sir, this hypothesized future seems unlikely. The idea of robots designing robots and computers designing computers is amusing but betrays a single fatal flaw. The idea that a computer or robot can design something more complicated than itself intentionally seems flawed.

The only argument I have ever seen of a computer program designing something more complicated than itself is a computer forever generating programs  at random and running all of them forever. However, this can hardly be called designing.]]></description>
