The creator of TheUglyBugBall.co.uk said the British dating site is the world’s first to cater exclusively to people who “weren’t blessed with great looks.”
Howard James of London said the dating site for the “aesthetically challenged” excludes “anyone who is overtly pretty or attractive,” The Sun reported, The Sun reported Friday.
I wonder though, would they really kick off an attractive person who preferred to date ugly people? It seems like larger, mainstream dating sites should be able to incorporate niches like these within their networks but still allow for people who want to date more of a variety.

Do you eat bad tasting food for the culinary variety?
Do you visit the sewage treatment plant for a new olfactory thrill?
Do you vacation at the town dump because you’ve never explored that unique possibility before?
Do you sit alone in a dark room because sensory deprivation brings a new level of non-experience?
Would you date a genuinely ugly person if you had even a slightly better alternative?

This makes me want to join the site just to find out if I’m too pretty.

I imagine the goal here is not to limit the attractiveness of the people you are trying to pair up with but rather the attractiveness of those you are competing with. It would be interesting if there were variations on this site that screened on some other characteristic like income. Yet, why do you need an exclusive site when instead mainstream dating sites could just require users to show a photo of themselves and a copy of their W2?

I think the best part is that John Gibson, of FOX News Radio, is the fourth picture down on the left. Identified as: Antony, London.

What I would like to know is why anyone would sign up for this site? I mean that’s just saying you think you’re not really attractive. What a nice way to display your low self image.
And imagine dating someone you found on the site! Not only are you saying that you’re ugly yourself, but you’re admitting that you can’t find an attractive partner.
I doubt any of this will last for too long.
Or maybe I’m just too shallow.

I think no matter how a person looks. For me, it is important inner qualities as a person. I met a man who is not very beautiful, but very kind and cheerful. This is the inner beauty of the individual.
