Someone who openly admits that labor is an (unfortunate) by-product of economic activity, and not a desirable end in-and-of itself? Kudos!
Of course, I don’t suppose you get bribed into getting off your X-Box, driving across town, and doing a repetitive task for a set amount of time…do you?

Not so long ago I read a comment by a CEO – only wish I could remember which one – who said that society as a whole and business were now taking separate roads. What that means is, now it is time for society to figure out new ways to survive…that like the incidental nature of being employed, employers are only incidental to how we now get by in the world. If there is any grieving to be done, it’s time to sort through denial and git er done!
